What FlexiFib does

Today’s choices. Tomorrow’s materials.

FlexiFib is building a new generation of hemp-based everyday products. While our proprietary products are developed and tested, the Launch Collection gives customers access to carefully selected products from specialist manufacturing partners.

Innovation & R&D

Engineering what comes next

Every FlexiFib programme follows the same evidence-led pathway, from raw fibre to manufacturable product.

  1. Step 1: Hemp fibre

Characterise raw fibre and match it to an intended application.

  2. Step 2: Material development

Develop compatible material systems and processing routes.

  3. Step 3: Prototype

Translate material behaviour into practical product geometry.

  4. Step 4: Testing

Validate performance, safety, durability and end-of-life evidence.

  5. Step 5: Manufacturing

Plan IP protection, manufacturing partners and commercial scale-up.

Why hemp?

A material worth exploring.

Hemp is a fast-growing fibre crop with strong natural fibres and potential across a wide range of material applications.

FlexiFib is researching where hemp can be technically and commercially useful — from oral care to household products and packaging. We publish verified properties separately from development targets, and we only make claims about a finished product once there is evidence for that exact product.

Sustainability

Honesty is part of sustainability.

We clearly distinguish between the products we source today and the technologies we are developing for tomorrow. Materials, origin, testing and disposal information are published wherever they have been verified.

What we can verify today

  • Confirmed origin and materials for each approved Launch Collection product
  • Clear product status: available, in development or planned
  • Supplier and manufacturer disclosure where appropriate
  • Real delivery, returns and customer-support information

What we are working towards

  • Higher hemp-content materials
  • Reduced reliance on conventional plastics where technically viable
  • UK sourcing and future manufacturing where commercially feasible
  • Replaceable and modular product design
